Teacher suspended for discussing racial epithet in class
I believe he was wrongfully suspended. He was taking the moment to educate his students about something meaningful. It was a teachable moment. Thoughts?

I think the teacher acted appropriately in the situation as an educator. Hopefully everything gets cleared for him!

I agree. You suspend a teacher for teaching. Plus kids need to learn this crap before its taught to them by someone who is a real racist.

Ignoring these things will not make them go away. Why employ teachers if you don’t wish for them

A word only has meaning if we give it meaning. “bad” words will continue to be bad as long as we give them power over ourselves.
