Chilling with some friends
Life gets in the way sometimes and we get so busy that we’re not able to see really good friends as often as we would like to. Unfortunately for me, I get into my hermit moods and I jyst don’t want to hang out with other people. Kinda glad that my husband “forces” other human interaction on me. Lol Tonight was no exception for him and we got to hang out with a couple...

World's Largest Man- Made Pool
http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/amazing_feats/big_stuff/largest_swimming_pool.aspx The first time I heard of this pool was sometime last summer as I watched television with my husband. I believe it may have been the Discovery Channel but I’m not quite sure. The program was describing the 20 best pools in the world. There were a few here in the U.S. but many more around the...

Keeping in touch...
In this day and age, it is almost impossible to keep your business to yourself. Anything from blogging (live), video chatting with oovoo or skype, “facebooking”, “FourSquaring”, ”tweeting” and just plain old texting or what is becoming more arcane these days… actually talking to someone on the phone. My fellow teachers are trying out something new this...

Shrek... forever... after...
So since my winter break began, I have been on a Shrek marathon. Ok… maybe I should change that and say that my 4 year old daughter has been on a Shrek marathon and I have been there right along with her!! LOL Each day so far (13 days and counting… I had an early start to my vacation due to snow…) and I have watched at least one of the four Shrek movies a day if not two....

Smallville marathon
Normally I would be the one that’s having a Smallville marathon, but today (and I think yesterday as well) it’s been my mother. LOL I have season 1 and 2 on disk but they’re so freaking expensive, I stopped buying them unfortunately… the show is now on its TENTH and FINAL season this year. :( I’ve been an avid fan. I can even remember watching the very first episode...

White Christmas
As I sit here with my hot chocolate (with mini marshmellows of course), my favorite radio station churning out some of my favorite tunes (although some may be getting a little played out for me by now) I reflect back on my Christmas this year. As you can see, I had a white Christmas. I had gone to sleep after looking out my window on Christmas Eve without a sign of snow. But when I awoke the...

"Easy A" (2010)
So I watched “Easy A” this afternoon as I folded my laundry and was thoroughly amused by the screen writer’s quirky lines throughout. If you want to know the general gist of the storyline, check out the link that I’ve attached (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easy_A). It’s kind of straight to the point outline of the movie, BUT if you don’t want any spoilers it...

Total lunar eclipse
If it wasn’t freezing outside I would be watching the winter solstice total lunar eclipse happening as we speak. It would be so cool to see the longest night of the year happen with an eclipse. But I am a total wuss and don’t want to freeze my butt off in the middle of the night. Did anyone go outside and see this natural phenomenon?

"Anastasia" (1997)
This 1997 animated film from Fox studios has always been a favorite of mine. This evening, I am introducing the film to my 4 year old daughter. With the voice talents of Meg Ryan (Anya/ Anastasia), John Cusak (Dimitri), Kelsey Grammer (Vladimir), Christopher Lloyd (Rasputin), Hank Azaria (Bartok the bat), Angela Lansbury (Dowager Empress) and Bernadette Peters (Sophie), the film has an all star...

Some things to think about when planning events...
There are some things that event planners should keep in mind when planning events that involve many people being present. 1. The event venue has to be big enough to accomodate all the people that are going to be present. If you have SEVERAL business locations coming together in one venue, you MUST have enough a. parking availability b. seating/room in general for all other people that will be...

My name is...
Yes… I know that this is a total rip from Eminem… but then again… what a great artist to get inspiration from!! For one, I do like his lyrics, not so much his old stuff but I like the way he tells you like it is. You may not like it BUT at least he’s telling you!! haha Anyway, this post is about how my name gets butchered endlessly. It might be some fault of my own but in...

Snow Days
So today is my second official snow day of the 2010-2011 school year. There have been at least 2 other days when snow fell this year (unfortunately, however, they fell on a weekend haha) but because of this snow that we have this week, I am able to enjoy TWO… yes… TWO extra days of my winter break. Unluckily for me though… I am sick… my daughter is sick … and I think...
